Initiation Program (IP Level)

IP (Initiation Program)

The Mite season generally starts in November and concludes in late February / early March. The IP level  is designed to teach and develop the basic skating and passing skills required to play the game of hockey.  An emphasis is placed on development of hockey skills rather than playing competitive games.

RAHA has 3 arena locations generally used for practices; RCC, IGH and The Pond. Practice duration ranges from 50-60 minutes for IP teams.  Every attempt will be made by the Association to give each team an equitable amount of practice.  Practice sessions are, generally, shared with other RAHA teams with exception to practices at The Pond.  Each team will, throughout the season get full ice sessions to use for practices, scrimmages or whatever the team coaches and manager(s) deem appropriate.
