The Rosemount Area Hockey Association (RAHA) has been a cornerstone of the community for over 50 years, inspiring young athletes since its founding. While hockey has long been a staple in Rosemount, girls’ hockey is still relatively new, and continues to grow.

The first all-Rosemount 10U girls’ team was formed in 2013 with just 12 players, marking a pivotal moment in the program’s history. In 2019, RAHA welcomed its first female head coach, underscoring our commitment to creating more opportunities for young female athletes.

Girls Hockey Day was created to celebrate this progress and spotlight the players, coaches, and families who are shaping the future of the sport. Each season, RAHA’s girls’ teams from 6U through 15U gather at the arena for a full day of hockey, activities, and community fun. It’s a chance to cheer each other on, build team spirit, and showcase the pride and energy that girls bring to the game. In 2024, the event welcomed 16 teams and was even featured on local news, highlighting its momentum and impact.

More than just games on the ice, Girls Hockey Day emphasizes community and giving back. Each year, RAHA partners with a nonprofit to support a cause—last year collecting food for the Pinky Swear Foundation’s hospital pantries. These efforts remind our players that being part of a team extends beyond the rink.

Today, RAHA takes immense pride in its growing girls’ hockey program and is dedicated to expanding its reach and impact. Girls Hockey Day captures that spirit, celebrating how far the program has come while inspiring the next generation to lace up their skates.

Kaitlyn’s Kloset is committed to providing families with the items they need to raise their children—without stigma or barriers. Their welcoming community resource center allows families to “shop” for essentials at no cost, helping to ensure every child has what they need to thrive.

How You Can Help
During Girls Hockey Day, we’ll have donation jars at the welcome table and concession stand. You can also conveniently add a $1 or $5 donation to your concessions order—every dollar makes a difference!

 When you don’t know where to turn, let Kaitlyn’s Kloset be your village.

We’re pairing each team with a CHEER/BUDDY team to spread even more Irish hockey spirit. Teams are be assigned a buddy team to support—making personalized signs for each player and supporting the team during their game! It’s a fantastic way to show our Rosemount pride, build friendships, and cheer each other on.
