PHASE 5 ARENA GUIDELINES - 1.14.21

  • MN Hockey strongly discourages locker room use, but will no longer be preventing it (please review each facility's own guidelines).
  • Small drawstring bags or small backpacks are allowed to carry smaller items into the arenas.
  • No spectators in arenas for Phase 4 with the exception of one parent being allowed at the Mite/8U levels and below.
  • This will be enforced at the door - all players and officials must come fully dressed, except helmets, skates and gloves. Goalies must come half dressed.
  • Goaltenders are allowed into the arena 15 minutes before scheduled ice. All other players may enter 10 minutes before the scheduled ice time. Everyone must exit within 10 minutes of the end of the ice time (this may vary by arena).
  • No dryland activities will be permitted inside arenas.
  • Cloth masks are required for all players on and off the ice.

Extra guidelines for our 8 & Under players at The Pond:

  • One spectator over the age of 18 for our 8 & Under Players will be allowed into the arena and they will need to follow the face mask and social distancing guidelines.
  •  No siblings allowed in the arena, no exceptions.
  • Spectators must go to one of the blue social distance signs, placed around the ice rink, after helping their player with their skates, gloves and helmets.  Parents should not wait/congregate by the rink entrance with their athlete. Athletes can wait at their chair until their coach calls them to the door to enter the ice.
  • Spectators cannot bring food or drink in the arena.
  • With a 50 min ice time at The Pond, the spectators and players will need to quickly leave the arena without crossing the path of the other group coming into the arena. Please plan to enter the arena 5 min prior to your ice time and plan to leave the arena within 5 min of finishing your practice.

Please remember that these rules were made at a State of MN level and not by the individual arenas.  They are following rules so that they can stay open and we can have a hockey season.  Kindness goes a long way!

Welcome to the Irish Rinks!

COVID-19 adds an additional element to the 2020-21 Hockey Season. We ask that you PLEASE abide by the facility rules established by our three home rinks - Rosemount Community Center, Inver Grove Heights and The Pond.

It's very important to your hockey community and ours that we share and follow these rules so we all can have a season. Anyone attending a practice, scrimmage or game at one of our facilities is required to abide by the guidelines. Anyone failing to abide by these guidelines will be asked to leave the facility.

In addition to the guidelines below, always wear your mask and maintain social distance inside all our facilities.

If you have any questions, please contact Kevin Bigalke, our COVID-19 Committee Chair.
